Accreditation at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia is the entry of company data into the database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as an employer of foreign employees. Accreditation is needed for the employer to be able to issue the invitations for a work visa. To do this, he gets registered at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, or gets accreditation as an inviting party. Once an employer is registered as a company that has the right to issue invitations to foreign workers and employ them, he enters into the database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Accreditation of the employer is always necessary. Without going through this procedure, the employer will not be able to issue a work invitation to a foreign worker.
Registration of a work permit - A work permit is an official document, the existence of which allows foreign nationals to carry out labor activities on the territory of Russia legally. The regulation of relations between the subjects of the process is carried out by the Federal Law of the Russian Federation "On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation.
Invitation - an invitation for entry is a specially designed document issued on behalf of the inviting person or inviting organization. The availability of an invitation is the basis for obtaining an entry visa to the Russian Federation. It contains information on the inviting party, data on the foreign guest, the purpose of his visit and the period of stay in the country.
Visa extension - visa extension is resorted to in different situations:
- deterioration of health, need for emergency medical care;
- The need to care for a seriously ill relative;
- death of a relative;
- academic programs or courses take longer to complete than originally anticipated;
Force majeure, such as "closure" of borders due to the COVID-19 pandemic, natural disasters, a delayed flight, or hostilities in the foreign national's home country. The period of extension of the permit is determined by the specific situation. Visas are extended for as long as necessary to resolve the above issues.
Submitting notifications on the conclusion/termination of an employment contract - In case of the hiring or firing a foreign citizen, each company is required to submit a notification of the conclusion/termination of the employment contract to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Filing Wage Notices - Employers are obliged to submit to the Ministry of Interior the payroll notification of employees with VKS status. Notification of the fulfillment of VKS payroll obligations must be submitted quarterly - no later than the last working day of the month following the quarter in question. For example, for the 1st quarter - January, February, March - the notification is due by April 30. If an employee is hired in the middle of a quarter, only the payroll notification for the period of employment is submitted.
Migration registration of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation (temporary registration of foreigners) is a mandatory procedure for every foreign citizen who is in the territory of Russia in visa or visa-free procedure for legal stay on the territory of the Russian Federation. This rule applies to all foreign nationals, regardless of citizenship and status in the Russian Federation, including VKS and those working under a patent or work permit. The deadline for registration directly depends on the citizenship and status of the foreigner who has arrived. The generally accepted term is 7 days after arrival.
